The Ministry of Labour and Employment has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rapido in New Delhi to significantly boost employment opportunities in the logistics sector through the National Career Service (NCS) portal. The initiative aims to generate over 50 lakh job opportunities within the next one to two years.
Labour and Employment Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, speaking at the signing ceremony, emphasized the NCS portal’s role as a powerful bridge between job seekers and employers across India. With more than 1.75 crore active job seekers and over 40 lakh registered employers, the platform is playing a pivotal role in mobilising the Indian workforce.
Under this collaboration, the NCS portal will provide hyperlocal job matching and facilitate both domestic and international placements. A special focus has been placed on promoting female participation in the logistics workforce, with 5 lakh job opportunities earmarked specifically for women.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to inclusive employment growth and skill development, leveraging digital platforms to meet evolving labour market demands.
