In a significant stride towards making India a global logistics hub, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry unveiled the Logistics Ease Across Different States (LEADS) 2024 report in New Delhi. Union Minister Shri Piyush Goyal, while presenting the report, emphasized the urgent need for states and the private sector to collaborate on actionable logistics plans. He urged stakeholders to focus on green logistics, gender inclusivity, skill development, and cuttingedge technologies like AI, Machine Learning, and Data Analytics to drive India’s logistics future. A Vision for Viksit Bharat 2047 Shri Goyal highlighted that robust logistics systems are pivotal for India’s exponential economic growth. The Minister urged states to leverage PublicPrivate Partnerships (PPPs), establish multimodal logistics hubs, and adopt the LEAD framework—Longevity, Efficiency, Accessibility, and Digitalization—to transform the sector.
