India Now a Factory Hub- PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reaffirmed India’s position as a global manufacturing powerhouse, emphasizing the nation’s rapid industrial growth and economic resilience. Addressing industry leaders at a recent summit, PM Modi highlighted key reforms such as the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, simplification of labor laws, and infrastructure development under the Gati Shakti plan. These initiatives, he noted, have attracted leading global firms to set up manufacturing bases in India.

India’s rise as a factory hub is driven by strong domestic demand, skilled labor, and a favorable business environment. With sectors such as electronics, semiconductors, automobiles, and textiles witnessing significant investments, India is poised to become a key player in global supply chains. The Prime Minister stressed that initiatives like ‘Make in India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ have boosted domestic production, reducing dependence on imports and strengthening exports.

Additionally, India’s growing capabilities in semiconductor manufacturing and green energy technology are positioning it as a leader in sustainable industrialization. PM Modi assured global investors that India is committed to policy stability and economic reforms, making it one of the most attractive destinations for manufacturing and innovation.

With a strong push towards self-reliance, India aims to surpass China as the world’s preferred factory hub.
