Ecom Express has launched a major sustainability initiative by installing solar panels at its Jaipur warehouse. This move marks the beginning of a broader plan to implement solar energy solutions across its warehousing facilities nationwide. Alongside this green initiative, the company has introduced an exclusive shift for female workers at the Jaipur site, aiming to boost gender diversity and create more employment opportunities for women in the logistics sector.
Vishwachetan Nadamani, Chief Operating Officer of Ecom Express, highlighted the dual impact of these initiatives, stating, “The launch of solar panel installations at our Jaipur warehouse is a significant leap toward minimizing our carbon footprint and leading the logistics industry by example. Likewise, by introducing a second shift and enhancing employment opportunities for women, we are actively promoting social governance and diversity within our workforce.”
Ecom Express aims to transform multiple locations into sustainable, energy-efficient hubs, significantly reducing its environmental impact by cutting greenhouse gas emissions and promoting clean energy. The company, with its extensive presence across all 28 states in India and operations in over 2,700 towns, continues to strengthen its infrastructure with over 150 gateways, processing centers, and fulfillment centers.
