The Department of Posts (DOP), Maharashtra Circle, has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB), marking a significant step forward in strengthening India's export logistics infrastructure for high-value cargo. The agreement was formalised on Tuesday in Mumbai, bringing together two of the country's most prominent institutions in the postal and diamond trade sectors. The MOU was signed by Shri Pandurang Chormale, Senior Superintendent of India Post, and Shri Anoop Mehta, President of Bharat Diamond Bourse, in the presence of Shri Amitabh Singh, Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle. The signing ceremony underscored the strategic importance of this collaboration for both organisations and the wider diamond and jewellery export community. At its core, the partnership is designed to deliver comprehensive logistics support to both members and non-members of BDB, covering export and import consignments as well as domestic parcels.
