CollarEV has unveiled Moon, a specially engineered electric two-wheeler targeting India's B2B delivery and logistics sector. The new electric vehicle addresses the increasing need for dependable, economical, and resilient electric mobility solutions tailored for last-mile delivery operations and commercial fleet requirements.
India's two-wheeler market exceeded 20 million units in sales during 2025, with electric two-wheelers representing roughly 1.4 million units of that total. These figures demonstrate substantial room for expanded EV adoption across the country. However, despite this encouraging growth trajectory, the electric two-wheeler sector has predominantly concentrated on consumer-oriented mobility solutions, leaving commercial delivery applications comparatively overlooked and underserved.
The Moon electric two-wheeler has been purposefully engineered to accommodate the rigorous demands of commercial deployment, with particular emphasis on delivery services and fleet management operations. The vehicle delivers an impressive range of approximately 135 kilometers on a single charge, supported by a 51.1V, 45Ah Lithium Iron Phosphate battery pack offering 2.3 kWh capacity.
Fast charging capabilities represent a key advantage for commercial operators, with the battery reaching 80 percent charge in approximately two hours and achieving full capacity in around 2.5 hours. This rapid turnaround makes the Moon particularly well-suited for high-utilization fleet deployments where vehicle downtime directly impacts operational efficiency.
The electric two-wheeler utilizes a BLDC hub motor configuration that generates 1,500W rated power and 2,200W peak power output, enabling the vehicle to achieve a maximum speed of 50 kilometers per hour. At the wheel, the system produces 95 Nm of torque, ensuring robust load-carrying capabilities essential for commercial delivery applications.
Built for demanding operational environments, the electric vehicle incorporates dual disc brakes, 12-inch wheels, and an impressive payload capacity reaching up to 150 kilograms. These specifications make the Moon especially appropriate for logistics companies and delivery service providers managing varied cargo requirements.
Smart fleet management technology is integrated throughout the Moon electric two-wheeler platform. The vehicle features a TFT display equipped with built-in telematics systems that enable comprehensive asset tracking and fleet monitoring capabilities. Additional convenience features include keyless start and stop functionality, which streamlines operations and improves efficiency for delivery personnel working throughout their shifts.
The platform architecture supports multiple utility attachment configurations, providing businesses with the flexibility to customize vehicles according to their specific logistics and delivery operational requirements. This adaptability allows companies to optimize their fleet investments across different use cases and service categories.
According to Tikendra Yadav, the company has identified and aims to address critical gaps currently present in India's B2B electric mobility marketplace.
"Much of the B2B electric two-wheeler market currently depends on low-cost imported vehicles that frequently encounter durability challenges and service complications. Our objective with Moon is to deliver a purpose-built electric vehicle featuring a minimalist yet extremely robust design philosophy that minimizes maintenance requirements while guaranteeing long-term operational reliability. The fully metal chassis and body construction make it particularly appropriate for demanding commercial operations," Yadav explained.
The electric vehicle draws power from an LFP battery pack engineered to deliver over 1,000 charging cycles, ensuring extended operational lifespan and superior total cost of ownership. The company provides a lifetime battery replacement or upgrade option, complemented by integrated IoT-based monitoring systems that enable continuous real-time tracking of battery health metrics and performance indicators.
Looking toward future technological enhancements, CollarEV is actively testing supercapacitor-assisted battery technology designed to further accelerate charging speeds, enhance durability characteristics, and extend overall lifecycle performance of their electric vehicle platforms.
The initial market rollout strategy will concentrate on Tier-I and Tier-2 urban centers, along with rural and semi-urban markets where demand for durable and affordable electric mobility solutions continues expanding rapidly. The vehicle is expected to carry a price point ranging between INR 79,999 and INR 89,999, with pre-booking options currently available online through the company's official website platform.
This launch represents CollarEV's strategic response to the evolving needs of India's commercial delivery ecosystem, where reliable electric mobility solutions can significantly reduce operational costs while supporting environmental sustainability objectives. As the logistics and delivery sectors continue their digital transformation and expansion, purpose-built electric vehicles like the Moon are positioned to play an increasingly vital role in enabling efficient, cost-effective last-mile delivery operations across diverse geographic markets throughout India.
