The Maharashtra government has approved the development of a 104.89 km high speed freight corridor linking the upcoming Vadhavan Port in Palghar district with the Hindu Hriday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharastra Samruddhi Mahamarg at Bharvir in Nashik district.
