Uber has taken a strategic leap in the import-export supply chain management space by integrating metro ticketing services through the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). Launched initially in Delhi in partnership with Delhi Metro, the service will expand to three more cities by the end of the year, according to Prabjeet Singh, President of Uber India and South Asia.
This move aligns with Uber’s commitment to strengthening India’s digital public infrastructure. The partnership with ONDC, formalized through a 2024 MoU during CEO Dara Khosrowshahi’s India visit, supports the national mission to build open, inclusive platforms for mobility and commerce.
Uber is also set to launch white-label B2B logistics solutions that will allow businesses to access flexible delivery networks without maintaining their own fleets. This marks a significant shift toward global import-export management innovation, particularly in on-demand mobility and logistics.
By offering integrated digital transport and logistics, Uber is redefining the future of export-import supply chain operations. As India continues to digitalize its transport and trade infrastructure, such partnerships are crucial in modernizing import-export in supply chain management and enhancing last-mile connectivity across sectors.
