In a big step to improve Maharashtra’s industrial and logistics network, the state government has signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Horizon Industrial Parks and Xsio Logistics Parks. This agreement will lead to the development of over ten modern, eco-friendly industrial and logistics parks across the state.
According to the industries department, this will be one of the largest foreign direct investment (FDI)-backed projects in the state’s logistics and industrial sectors so far.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Industries Secretary P. Anbalagan, and senior representatives from Blackstone, Horizon Industrial Parks, and Xsio Logistics Parks.
Chief Minister Fadnavis called this a major milestone. He said that the parks will be set up in locations like Panvel, Bhiwandi, Chakan (Pune), Nagpur, and Sinnar (Nashik). The project will cover about 794.2 acres and involve a construction area of 18.5 million square feet. It will bring in a total investment of ₹5,127 crore through FDI.
