Both ports are eager to capitalize on opportunities by sharing experiences and developing joint projects, with a focus on cargo mobility, energy, and offshore wind.

“We view this partnership as a crucial strategic element in our ongoing growth and development,” said Henrik Carstensen, CEO of the Port of Grenaa. “For both our customers and ourselves, we see significant potential and strong synergies in enhancing and expanding our collaboration across Kattegat.”

The ports will combine their areas, resources, and expertise to streamline the transportation and handling of heavy cargo, such as wind turbine components, which is expected to enhance cost efficiency.

“We have chosen to prioritize these areas—cargo mobility, energy, and offshore wind—initially because we believe there is great potential to drive growth together and improve the services we offer to our customers,” added Carl-Henrik Hägg, CEO of the Ports of Halland Partnership. “The Port of Grenaa holds a strong position in these segments and brings valuable expertise and resources that complement the strengths of the Ports of Halland.” Joint efforts for heavy cargo handling from both will boost the economy in many ways."
