Mahindra Logistics has introduced the ‘Emission Analytics Report,’ a cutting-edge digital platform designed to help customers visualize and reduce their carbon emissions in real-time, aiding in the decarbonization of their supply chains.
This platform primarily focuses on transportation and provides customers with Scope 3 carbon emission data. It offers comprehensive insights into emissions intensity, tonne-kilometres, emissions by transport mode, fuel usage, and access to emissions savings certificates. All of these features are available through a monthly subscription model, according to a company statement.
“The Emission Analytics Report is an integral part of Mahindra Logistics' green logistics ecosystem, initially developed through Edel, a green last-mile cargo delivery service. Edel has since evolved into a complete, sustainable suite that includes carbon-neutral warehousing solutions and a fleet of 2W, 3W, and 4W electric vehicles for last-mile delivery,” the statement read.
The report is accessible through a fully automated SaaS platform, accredited by the Global Logistics Emission Council (GLEC) and ISO 14083. It integrates seamlessly into existing systems and is available on both web and mobile devices.
This platform enables customers to comply with BRSR and other environmental regulations and supports companies striving to enhance sustainability and transition to green logistics. By innovating and optimizing transportation, the platform also provides shipment-level reporting of Scope 3 emissions for industries such as automotive, manufacturing, consumer goods, retail, FMCG, mobility, pharmaceuticals, e-commerce, quick commerce, and freight forwarding.
Rampraveen Swaminathan, Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra Logistics, stated, “At Mahindra Logistics, we are committed to contributing to India’s ambitious goal of becoming net-zero by 2070. Our focus is on building a futuristic supply chain driven by a sustainable logistics network and integrating environmental consciousness into our actions.”
Swayantani Ghosh, Chief Sustainability & CSR Officer at Mahindra Logistics, added, “In India’s rapidly growing economy, leading a comprehensive effort against climate change is crucial. In the context of supply chains, Scope 3 decarbonization poses unique challenges due to the absence of proper frameworks, tools, and data. With the introduction of the shipment-level Emission Analytics Report powered by climate-focused AI, our clients can track carbon footprints in real time, access emissions savings analytics, and evaluate decarbonization models. From reporting to low-carbon decision-making, we aim to partner with our clients at every step in their transition to net zero.”
