JSW Group intends to develop JSW Infrastructure into a comprehensive logistics solutions provider, according to Chairman Sajjan Jindal during the company's 18th annual general meeting on Tuesday.

"India's economy is growing and is projected to reach $10 trillion. With its diversified areas, the logistics business requires more significant private-sector companies to supply last-mile connectivity solutions," Jindal explained.

The acquisition of Navkar Corporation, which owns container freight stations and inland container depot facilities in strategic areas, complements JSW Infrastructure's plan to build a countrywide network. Jindal remarked that this acquisition provides access to substantial land resources in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) and Gujarat for future development.

In addition, a multimodal cargo terminal called Gati Shakti is being built in Chennai by JSW Infrastructure. "The company will continue to work on projects to build and scale a pan-India network, delivering unmatched efficiency in the logistics sector," Jindal added.

By FY2030, JSW Infrastructure hopes to have increased its cargo handling capacity from 170 MTPA to 400 MTPA, a 2.4-fold increase. According to Jindal, this expansion strategy includes soliciting bids for the privatization of key port facilities and berths, as well as other inorganic opportunities in port-related infrastructure.

By utilizing its advantages and execution experience, JSW Infrastructure has grown both organically and inorganically over the past 20 years, increasing its operational capacity to 170 MTPA.

JSW Infrastructure reported increases in revenue of 20% to Rs 4,032 crore, EBITDA of 24% to Rs 2,234 crore, and net profit of 55% to Rs 1,161 crore for FY2024.

With ten ports and terminals spread across the eastern and western coasts with a handling capacity of 170 MTPA, JSW Infrastructure is currently the second-largest commercial port operator in India. The total capacity is 181.5 MTPA with signed concession agreements of 11.5 MTPA. We run two sizable bulk terminals operated by the Port of Fujairah and a 465,000 cubic meter liquid tank storage terminal in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates, as stated by Jindal.
