India imposes land and sea port restrictions on jute from Bangladesh

In a significant trade development, India has imposed a ban on the import of jute and jute products from Bangladesh through all land ports, citing concerns over dumped and subsidized imports that have adversely impacted the domestic jute industry. The move follows recent restrictions on Bangladeshi apparel exports via land routes.
