Civil aviation authorities are set to reopen 32 airports that were temporarily closed for civil operations due to last week’s military tensions between India and Pakistan, official sources confirmed on Monday.
The Airports Authority of India (AAI), in coordination with other aviation bodies, had issued Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) announcing the suspension of civilian flights from May 9 to May 15. The shutdown affected airports in northern and western regions, including key hubs like Srinagar and Amritsar.

Sources indicated that a formal announcement about the resumption of flight services at these airports will be made shortly. The temporary closure was a precautionary measure taken amid heightened security concerns during the cross-border standoff.
