Adani Ports & SEZ has announced the incorporation of a wholly owned subsidiary, DPA Container and Clean Cargo Terminal Limited (DPACCCL), dedicated to the development of Berth No. 13 at Deendayal Port. This new subsidiary will focus on the handling of multipurpose clean cargo, including container cargo.

Earlier in July, Adani Ports received a Letter of Intent (LOI) for the development, operation, and maintenance of Berth No. 13 at Deendayal Port. The project will be undertaken under the Design, Build, Finance, Operate, and Transfer (DBFOT) model.

The berth, which spans 300 meters in length, is designed to handle a variety of clean cargo and has an annual capacity of 5.7 million metric tons (MMT). DPACCCL has been established specifically to manage this project, ensuring the development, operation, and maintenance of Berth No. 13 by the DBFOT model.

In a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Adani Ports stated, "DPACCCL has been incorporated as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company for carrying out the projects, i.e., development, operation, and maintenance of Berth No. 13 for handling multipurpose clean cargo, including container cargo, at Deendayal Port on a design, build, finance, operate, and transfer basis."
