AD Ports Group to develop grain terminal at Kuryk Port in Kazakhstan

AD Ports Group, an Abu Dhabi-based facilitator of global trade, logistics and industry, has signed a foundation agreement with Semurg Invest to construct a greenfield grain terminal at Kuryk Port Development in Kazakhstan. The partnership will operate under the name Kazakhstan Grain Terminal by AD Ports holding a 51% stake and Semurg Invest owning the remaining 49%. The project will see an investment of more than US$50m across two phases, with AD Ports Group contributing approximately US$30m. Once the first phase is completed in late 2026, the terminal will have an annual handling capacity of 570,000 tonnes of grain cargo, which will increase to 1.5 million tonnes upon completion of the second phase.
