Affordplan and Association of Healthcare Providers (India) Tamil Nadu Chapter have announced a strategic collaboration aimed at strengthening healthcare supply chains across the state. Through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), AHPI-TN members will gain access to Affordplan’s procurement platform, Procalyx, enabling better product and price discovery in the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors.

The healthcare sector has long grappled with fragmented procurement data, often resulting in significant price variations for pharmaceutical products and medical consumables. The integration of Procalyx offers member hospitals a structured framework to evaluate products and benchmark market rates, supporting more informed purchasing decisions and improved budget management.

Under the MoU, AHPI-TN member hospitals will be able to incorporate digital tools into their procurement workflows, backed by implementation support.

Anand Nevatia, Co-Founder of Affordplan, said, “The primary objective of this partnership is to replace information asymmetry with data-driven decision-making. By leveraging Procalyx, hospitals can validate real-time market benchmarks for pharmaceuticals and consumables. This structural enhancement in the supply chain is essential for long-term operational sustainability.”

Dr Sathish Devadoss, President of AHPI Tamil Nadu Chapter, noted, “Our focus remains on ensuring stability for our member hospitals. High procurement costs and lack of transparency continue to be major challenges. This collaboration provides a practical solution to audit spending and ensure procurement at fair market value, strengthening financial sustainability.”

He further added that amid rising healthcare costs, the platform offers timely support by improving financial visibility and enabling hospitals to optimise resources without compromising patient care.

Adel J, Secretary of AHPI Tamil Nadu Chapter, highlighted that healthcare supply chains in India have traditionally lacked real-time pricing visibility. Procalyx addresses this gap by offering a data-backed view of procurement costs, allowing hospitals to adopt smarter purchasing cycles and achieve measurable cost efficiencies.

Dr Vicky Kothari, Head – Supply Chain at Affordplan, added that the initiative is designed to reduce operational overheads linked to manual procurement processes, enabling hospital administrators to streamline sourcing through a verified digital ecosystem.
