Warehousing and logistics policy: Chief secy chairs panel’s 1st meeting

The first meeting of the Empowered Committee constituted under the Uttar Pradesh Warehousing & Logistics Policy-2022 was convened on 16 July 2025 under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh. In the meeting, the proposal to issue Letters of Comfort to two private investors was approved. 

The investors will be provided with a capital subsidy of Rs 4.89 Cr and Rs 4.90 Cr.

UPSIDA CEO Mayur Maheshwari said that under the policy, UPSIDA has so far allotted Unique IDs to 20 companies for a total investment of Rs 1,416 Cr across the state. 

All these projects are in progress. Among these, proposals have been presented to issue Letters of Comfort to two companies. As per the Uttar Pradesh Warehousing & Logistics Policy-2022, to be eligible for a subsidy, a minimum investment of Rs. 20 Cr. in a storage facility covering at least 1 lakh sq ft is mandatory. Upon fulfilling the eligibility criteria, a capital subsidy of 15% of the investment is provided.
