Vizhinjam Port Tops in Cargo Handling in South and Eastern India: Kerala CM

Vizhinjam International Seaport, Kerala’s ambitious deepwater port project, has emerged as the leading cargo-handling hub in South and Eastern India, according to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The port, which recently began operations, is set to revolutionize India’s maritime logistics and reduce reliance on foreign transshipment hubs.

With its strategic location on the international shipping route and ability to handle large vessels, Vizhinjam is attracting global shipping companies and driving economic growth in the region.
