The Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) and Dredging Corporation of India (DCI) jointly marked the valedictory ceremony of Vigilance Awareness Week 2024 at the Sambamurthy Auditorium on Monday.

The event was graced by Murali Rambha, Superintendent of Police, CBI, Visakhapatnam, who attended as the Guest of Honour. In his address, he underscored the significance of the Vigilance Awareness Week, which was observed from October 28 to November 3, and emphasized this year’s theme: “Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity.” Rambha highlighted the importance of fostering a culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability within society, which he believes is key to boosting India's global standing and building a corruption-free nation.

Throughout the week, the VPA organized a series of engaging activities, including competitions in elocution, essay writing, and a quiz, along with a vendors' meeting. These initiatives were designed to actively involve employees and their families in promoting vigilance, ethical conduct, and transparency in both professional and personal spheres.

The observation of Vigilance Awareness Week serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining high ethical standards and fostering an environment of honesty and integrity within organizations, contributing to the broader vision of a prosperous and transparent India.
