33 Integrated Manufacturing and Logistics Clusters (IMLCs) are being established by the state government in 30 districts of Uttar Pradesh along expressways.

The state government released a press release stating that these IMLCs will be built alongside the Ganga, Bundelkhand, Agra-Lucknow, Gorakhpur Link, and Purvanchal expressways, which are the five main routes. Moreover, space along the Agra-Lucknow road will be set aside for the defense corridor in Agra and Aligarh, while industrial corridors known as IMLCs will be established in Firozabad, Etawah, and Kannauj. The building of an industrial corridor and a land node for the defense corridor will take place in Kanpur.

Sixteen major districts along the Ganga expressway, including Meerut, Hapur, Amroha, Sambhal, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Unnao, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh, and Prayagraj, would be the site of these IMLCs, which will collectively cover an area of 6,149.30 hectares. Similarly, IMLCs are envisioned as an industrial corridor near Chitrakoot, with the Bundelkhand Expressway serving as a node for the defense corridor. Near the Bundelkhand Expressway in Banda, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jalaun, and Auraiya, more IMLCs are being proposed.

Moreover, IMLCs are scheduled to be built close to the Purvanchal, Gorakhpur Link, and Agra-Lucknow expressways. A number of papers will be put together to finish the environmental and other clearance procedures, facilitating these advancements. The plan also calls for the development of two further industrial corridors, spanning 143.63 hectares and 230.84 hectares in Ambedkarnagar, and an industrial corridor spanning 62.93 hectares in Gorakhpur along the Gorakhpur Link Expressway. All planned projects must have environmental and forest permissions, so UPEIDA has started the Request for Proposals (RFP) procedure to choose a consulting firm.
