Voting day concluded in Port Dalhousie as residents cast their ballots to elect a new city councillor for Ward 6, following the passing of long-time representative Carlos Garcia last year.

The by-election was held to fill the seat left vacant by Garcia, a respected and dedicated advocate for the beach-side community, whose unexpected death prompted the need for a new representative.

Residents voted until 8 p.m. at the Grantham Optimist Club and the Port Dalhousie Lions Club.

CKTB provided election results as soon as they became available.
