Pharma dept to look at overhaul of logistics value chain for pharma and medtech

Amid ongoing uncertainty over U.S. tariffs, India’s Department of Pharmaceuticals (DoP) is initiating a comprehensive study to revamp the logistics value chain of the pharmaceutical and medical devices sectors. According to a recent notification, the DoP will appoint a designated agency to conduct the study and formulate a detailed logistics plan aimed at strengthening India’s position as a global pharma and med-tech hub.The study will evaluate the current state of infrastructure, logistics practices, policies, and regulatory frameworks across the sectors.
