Pakistan shuts ports for Indian ships: What this means for both the sides

Tensions between India and Pakistan have flared dramatically after the devastating terror attack in Pahalgam that claimed the lives of 26 people most of them tourists. In response, both countries have now completely cut off maritime trade and postal exchanges, marking one of the most severe diplomatic escalations in recent years.The chain reaction began when India imposed a blanket ban on all imports from Pakistan and barred Pakistani vessels from docking at Indian ports.
