MSC World America Honoured With Platinum Pearl Award At Naming Ceremony

MSC Cruises’ newest vessel, MSC World America, was awarded the prestigious Platinum Pearl Award by Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore (BV) during its naming ceremony in Miami on April 9.

The award celebrates two decades of MSC Cruises' ongoing commitment to health, safety, and environmental protection across its global fleet. It recognises the cruise line’s proactive approach in maintaining some of the industry's highest voluntary standards.

MSC Cruises operates under a robust integrated certification system, adhering to globally recognised ISO standards, including:

ISO 21070 for waste management and marine environmental protection

ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety

ISO 22000 for food safety management

ISO 50001 for energy efficiency improvement

In addition, MSC World America has earned Bureau Veritas’ Cleanship notation, highlighting the ship’s efforts to reduce air and water pollution and manage waste through advanced onboard systems.

The recognition underscores MSC Cruises' dedication to sustainable operations and industry-leading safety practices.
