The fastest-growing digital haulier in Southeast Asia, Haulio, and MatchLog, a provider of sustainable logistics and supply chain optimisation solutions, have teamed up to drive notable improvements in environmental sustainability and logistical efficiency throughout the region.
Through this collaboration, MatchLog enters the Southeast Asian market for the first time, taking advantage of Haulio's well-established presence in Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia.
As part of this partnership, Haulio's intelligent digital container trucking technology and MatchLog's cutting-edge triangulation system will be integrated. Haulio's strong digital ecosystem will be enhanced by MatchLog's technology, which matches import containers with export needs to reduce trips to empty container depots and prevent dry runs.
Currently, Haulio powers a 2.3 million TEU yearly regional network of 800 haulage and trucking companies through a digital fleet of 10,000 first-mile trucks.
"Our partnership with Haulio marks a critical turning point in our plan for international growth. Dhruv Taneja, the founder and CEO of MatchLog, stated, "We are positioned to drive significant improvements in logistics efficiency and environmental sustainability across Southeast Asia by combining our triangulation technology with Haulio's extensive regional network."
MatchLog and Haulio hope to drastically cut carbon emissions and logistics costs in Southeast Asia by merging their platforms. MatchLog will be able to maximise container reuse throughout the region thanks to Haulio's wide reach and data visibility, which will help it achieve its goal of lowering the carbon footprint of global logistics.
"Our partnership with MatchLog aligns perfectly with our mission to transform the haulage ecosystem, one container at a time," stated Alvin Ea, co-founder of Haulio, in response to the development. By incorporating MatchLog's cutting-edge technology, we improve our capacity to transport containers in a smooth and effective manner, helping Southeast Asia's logistics sector become more economical and environmentally friendly.
MatchLog has moved 200,000 containers through its platform since its founding, optimising 50% of the transportation and obtaining visibility over 2 million containers. As a consequence, 40,000 metric tonnes less carbon emissions were produced, establishing MatchLog as a key figure in lowering the carbon footprint of Indian logistics.
MatchLog hopes to prevent 80,000 metric tonnes of emissions and save USD 100 million in freight expenses by managing 2 million journeys a year.
