Ameba, an AI-powered platform designed to optimize and streamline complex supply chains, has announced a €6.4 million seed funding round. The round was led by Hedosophia, with support from Visionaries Club, which had previously led Ameba’s pre-seed round, and Anamcara also participating in the investment.

Founded by supply chain expert Cedrik Hoffmann, former supply chain director and co-founder of e-commerce giant VALOREO, and Craig Massie, a former Palantir engineer who built a top-tier data privacy tool for S&P 500 firms, Ameba leverages AI to deliver real-time insights across global supply chains. The platform integrates with existing software and automates the extraction of data from diverse sources—including emails, WhatsApp messages, PDFs, and Excel files—into a single, cohesive platform. This consolidation enables brands to have a clear, real-time overview of their supply chains, predict disruptions, resolve bottlenecks, and monitor sustainability initiatives.

Ameba’s platform addresses inefficiencies by automating processes and reducing manual data entry by 30%. On average, 50% of supplier orders are delayed, leading to stock shortages and an estimated annual revenue loss of 8%. By improving supplier on-time delivery (OTIF) to 100%, companies can reduce operational costs by up to 20%. Even a modest 4% reduction in supply chain costs can potentially double profitability.

The platform is particularly relevant for industries under increasing pressure, such as fashion, where supply chain management has historically lagged in digital transformation. The fashion industry faces challenges like managing new product introductions and adhering to regulatory demands, such as the EU’s requirement for Digital Product Passports (DPPs), which mandate supply chain transparency.

Ameba’s co-founders believe their platform will transform supply chains from operational bottlenecks into growth drivers. Cedrik Hoffmann, CEO of Ameba, highlighted the challenges brands face in meeting consumer expectations for fast, low-cost, and sustainable supply chains, noting that many companies still manage supply chains through outdated tools like Excel. Craig Massie, CTO of Ameba, emphasized that the platform helps businesses shift from reactive problem-solving to proactive efficiency and growth strategies.

Isabella Yamamoto, Principal at Visionaries Club, praised Ameba’s potential to unlock brand competitive advantages by eliminating fragmentation in supply chains. The company’s AI-driven solution addresses the increasing complexity of global supply chains, offering a much-needed edge in a rapidly evolving market.
