INS Surat brings 18 rescued sailors of fire-struck MV Wan Hai 503 to New Mangalore Port, 4 still missing

On June 9, a major maritime incident occurred when the MV Wan Hai 503, a container vessel traveling from Colombo to Mumbai, caught fire approximately 78 nautical miles off the Beypore coast in Kerala. Thanks to a swift and coordinated effort, the Indian Navy successfully rescued 18 of the 22 crew members on board, preventing a greater tragedy at sea.
