Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has announced the development of a major industrial logistics corridor connecting the key coastal ports of Kakinada, Machilipatnam and Krishnapatnam aimed at transforming Andhra Pradesh into a high-efficiency trade and manufacturing hub. This corridor is expected to boost port led industrialization, improve cargo movement and create large scale employment opportunities across the state. “The corridor will become the backbone of our economic growth strategy by integrating industrial zones with world-class logistics infrastructure,” CM Naidu said during a press briefing on Thursday.
The proposed corridor is part of Andhra Pradesh’s larger vision to leverage its strategic coastline and position itself as a logistics gateway to Southeast Asia and global markets. It will feature integrated multi-modal transport infrastructure, special economic zones (SEZs), logistics parks, and smart industrial clusters.
Officials confirmed that the project will align with the central government’s PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan, enabling seamless coordination between road, rail, and port networks.
