Rajeev Kumar Singhal, Director (Business Development) at GAIL, and Sanjai Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director of RailTel, witnessed the ceremony alongside other key officials.

The partnership brings together the complementary strengths of India's energy and telecom infrastructure sectors, creating opportunities to enhance digital connectivity initiatives on a national scale.

Deepak Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director of GAIL, explained that this collaboration reflects the company's commitment to merging energy infrastructure with modern digital technologies. He noted that adopting artificial intelligence and sophisticated communication networks will be crucial for developing a more resilient infrastructure ecosystem that supports India's digital growth trajectory.

The MoU outlines several strategic priorities that will guide the partnership going forward. These include reinforcing national communication infrastructure, optimizing resource sharing between the two entities, expanding reliable digital connectivity throughout India, and enabling emerging technologies such as AI-powered networks and intelligent services.

Industry observers expect this collaboration to play an important role in supporting India's expanding digital economy while improving nationwide access to advanced communication technologies.
