DTDC Express Partners with Skye Air Mobility to Revolutionize Last Mile Drone Deliveries

DTDC intends to extend its drone delivery service to additional key locations around India. Drone based deliveries are DTDC Express's latest last-mile innovation, for which it has teamed with Skye Air Mobility. The first drone delivery took place from Bilaspur to Gurgaon sector 92, a distance of 7.5 km, in approximately 3–4 minutes, as opposed to the typical 15-minute road trip. The corporation released a statement saying, "This marks a step forward in its commitment to adopting cutting-edge technology and setting new industry standards with the changing times." Expanding on its extensive physical network of more than 16,000 channel partners, which serves about 96% of India's population, DTDC hopes to further optimize the handling of almost 155 million parcels a year. The company stated, "This new development promises hassle-free, flexible delivery while contributing to eco-friendly logistics by lowering carbon emissions and traffic congestion." After a great start in Gurgaon, DTDC intends to take its drone delivery service to more strategic regions around India. The next stage of this project will concentrate on pinpointing key areas where drone delivery can have the biggest influence.
