Deutsche Bahn completes sale of logistics subsidiary DB Schenker to DSV

Deutsche Bahn AG (DB) has officially completed the sale of its logistics subsidiary, DB Schenker, to Danish transport and Logistics group DSV for an enterprise value of €14.3 billion. The move marks a strategic shift for DB, allowing it to streamline operations and concentrate on its core rail business. The proceeds from the sale will be used to significantly reduce the DB Group’s debt.The transaction, finalized earlier than expected, followed a competitive and transparent sale process that began in December 2023, in compliance with EU regulations.
