Cyberabad gears up for Miss World 2025: Security and logistics reviewed at high-level meeting

A high-level preparatory and security review meeting was held by the Cyberabad police in Madhapur on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, to ensure the safe and smooth conduct of the upcoming Miss World 2025 pageant in Hyderabad.

The meeting brought together senior police officials, tourism authorities, and key government stakeholders to finalise security, logistics, and inter-departmental coordination for the international event, which will run from May 7 to May 31. The grand finale is scheduled for May 31 at the HITEX Exhibition Centre.

Key areas of focus included law enforcement deployment, traffic management, emergency response planning, public safety measures, and the smooth execution of associated cultural and social programmes. Special emphasis was placed on inter-agency collaboration to ensure seamless execution of the 28-day festival, which will feature heritage tours, talent showcases, and social impact activities.

Traffic diversions and transport arrangements were reviewed for key areas near event venues and tourist attractions expected to be visited by the contestants, including the Charminar, Ramappa Temple, Buddhavanam, and Pochampally.

Nyalakonda Prakash Reddy, Managing Director of the Telangana Tourism Development Corporation, highlighted the significance of Miss World 2025 as a global stage to showcase Telangana’s modern infrastructure and hospitality. He noted that the event was not just a beauty pageant but a strategic opportunity to position Telangana as a world-class cultural and tourism destination.

The meeting also addressed critical elements such as medical preparedness, hospitality coordination, and enhanced safety protocols, particularly concerning women and children, throughout the duration of the event.
