Container Corporation of India Ltd (CONCOR), one of India’s leading multimodal logistics operators, has further strengthened its cold chain capabilities with the deployment of advanced IceBattery®-enabled Hybrid Reefer solutions. The move is aimed at delivering reliable, sustainable and efficient temperature-controlled logistics for sensitive agricultural and pharmaceutical cargo across domestic as well as international routes.

Key Features of the New Hybrid Reefer Solution:

Extended Diesel-Free Operation: The system maintains a stable temperature range of 2–25°C for more than 50 hours without the use of diesel generators, ensuring uniform cooling and controlled humidity levels of 70–80 percent.

Real-Time Monitoring: The solution offers live track-and-trace functionality, with continuous monitoring of temperature, location and humidity throughout transit using modern data logging systems.

Proven Track Record: The technology has already supported over 50 successful cargo movements, demonstrating its operational reliability in real-world conditions.

Successful International Deployment: CONCOR recently completed its first international pharmaceutical shipment for M/s Sun Pharma to Singapore using its own 20-foot Hybrid IceBattery Reefer container.

Versatile Formats: The Hybrid Reefer solution is available for deployment across trucks as well as 20-foot and 40-foot Hybrid Reefer containers.

Strategic Impact:

The deployment represents a strategic expansion of CONCOR’s service portfolio, addressing the rising demand for dependable cold chain logistics in India’s export-driven pharmaceutical and agricultural sectors. By significantly reducing dependence on diesel, the IceBattery® technology lowers carbon emissions while improving service reliability through continuous environmental monitoring.
