Chennai Port opens a sustainable railway goods shed to improve logistics

Delhi Port extended state-of-the-art goods railway shed via Jolarpet railway station connectivity to enhance logistics. The project is aimed at reducing traffic in Delhi and promoting eco-friendliness. The latest project of Chennai Port Authority, which cost β‚Ή6.71 crores, was built on the basis of revenue sharing with Southern Railway. Goods-sheds are thus committed to the environmental sustainability of green logistics programmes and provide seamless, integrated trunk/container movements.
