AVG Logistics Secures Rs 198 Crore, 6-Year Parcel Train Deal with Indian Railways

AVG Logistics Limited has signed a major six-year contract with Indian Railways to operate a leased Parcel Cargo Express Train (PCET), marking a significant boost to India’s freight transport sector. The dedicated service will connect Agartala (Tripura) and Guwahati (Assam) with Delhi and Ludhiana (Punjab), with four round trips scheduled each month totaling 313 trips over the contract duration.



Initially, the train will carry 364 tonnes per trip, with capacity set to increase to 484 tonnes after six months. Covering a 2,768 km route in around 90 hours, the service is designed to provide fast, efficient, and reliable cargo movement across key long-distance corridors.

Valued at approximately ₹198 crore, this strategic partnership enhances the logistics footprint of both AVG Logistics and Indian Railways, reinforcing efforts to improve multimodal freight infrastructure in India.
