Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, Jeet Adani hold meeting to advance implementation of the key investment commitments

Following the momentum built during the Advantage Assam 2.0 summit, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma held a strategic meeting with Jeet Adani, Director of Adani Ports, to accelerate the implementation of key investment commitments made during the event in Guwahati.

The meeting focused on operationalizing the mutual agreements between the Government of Assam and the Adani Group, with detailed discussions on formalizing the procedures required to initiate various development projects aimed at boosting the state’s economy. Notably, the Adani Group had pledged an investment of β‚Ή50,000 crore during the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit.

Key topics included the MoUs signed between the two parties covering sectors such as cement manufacturing, the development of an aerocity, and the construction of a thermal power plant. The discussions also highlighted the potential of the Jogighopa Multimodal Logistics Park and explored how the Adani Group could play a pivotal role in catalyzing economic activities around the logistics hub.
