Alok Varman has returned to Pepperfry as Head of Supply Chain, solidifying the company's leadership in the furniture and home décor industry. Improving the supply chain to maximise customer experience is part of Alok's job description. His experience and performance history are important factors in Pepperfry's expansion plan and flawless client support.
Alok has contributed significantly to Pepperfry's expansion with his more than 23 years of experience in supply chain, omnichannel business, strategic business management, and customer experience in industries including retail and e-commerce. His development of the brand's warehouses and logistics was crucial. He led the charge to expand the experience stores as part of the omnichannel strategy while he was employed at Pepperfry.
Alok was the COO of Isho.com, a D2C eCommerce furniture startup in Bangladesh, where he enhanced customer experiences and launched the brand in the Indian market, prior to Pepperfry. He also held positions as manager at Guthy-Renker LLC, senior manager at Carnation Auto India, and vice president at Wydr.in.
Ashish Shah, Pepperfry's co-founder and chief executive officer, commented on the new hire, saying, "We are thrilled to welcome Alok back to Pepperfry." His enthusiasm for the product and in-depth knowledge of business operations will be extremely helpful as we continue to streamline our processes in order to provide our clients with an exceptional experience via our exclusive large box supply chain, which spans 300 cities across the country.
Alok Varman, Head of Supply Chain, continued, "I am excited to work under Ashish Shah's leadership and to rejoin Pepperfry at this exciting time." He was excited about his new position. I'm excited to collaborate with the team to further optimise our supply chain, provide outstanding customer service, and keep Pepperfry growing via innovation and quality.
Owing to his extensive expertise in the industry, Alok is particularly skilled at identifying possibilities, creating tech-driven, people-centric procedures, and growing value-focused companies. Pepperfry thinks the new Head of Supply Chain would improve the company and highlight its commitment to providing Indian consumers with high-quality furniture and home goods.
