Three Gujarat-based firms Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone, Super Handlers and Empezar Logistics have submitted bids to build a 174-acre multimodal logistics park in Greater Noida, aiming to invest at least ₹1,200 crore, according to a statement from a minister in the Uttar Pradesh government.
The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) launched the initiative on May 23 to spur infrastructure growth and attract major investors. The park, located in Sector Kappa 2, Dadri next to an inland container depot and near the upcoming Noida International Airport in Jewar will integrate road, rail, and air transport. Its planned features include container terminals, cargo yards, cold storage warehouses, and bulk and break bulk handling facilities.
Applications closed on June 23, and in early July, UP Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh, who also chairs GNIDA and other authorities, convened a review meeting where all three developers presented their proposals. A high level committee led by the Chief Secretary will soon make the final selection.
Once built, the park is expected to draw investment north of ₹1,200 crore (land cost separate), facilitate the creation of over 5,000 jobs, and significantly improve freight efficiency for the region. It’s also planned to connect with the Eastern and Western Dedicated Freight Corridors, reinforcing Greater Noida’s role as a logistics hub.
This project is part of Uttar Pradesh’s broader “Multimodal Logistics Park Policy 2024,” which offers incentives such as land subsidies, stamp duty waivers, and fast track approvals to qualified firms investing ₹1,000 crore or more.
In summary, the Greater Noida logistics park represents a key step in UP’s infrastructure push melding road, rail, and air transport to spur industrial growth, streamline supply chains, and enhance economic competitiveness.
