Quectel Wireless Solutions, a global end-to-end IoT solutions provider, has announced a significant expansion of its partnership with Syrma SGS Technology Ltd, one of India's leading electronics manufacturing services providers, to now include the local production of IoT antennas. This latest development builds on an already active collaboration between the two companies to manufacture IoT modules within India, marking a deeper commitment to developing a robust domestic IoT supply chain.

The decision to expand local manufacturing to cover antennas reflects Quectel's broader strategic goal of strengthening its IoT supply chain and scaling production operations in high-growth markets. India has steadily emerged as one of the most significant hubs for electronics manufacturing and IoT-driven innovation, backed by surging demand from multiple industries, an increasingly skilled workforce, and a rapidly maturing technology ecosystem. For Quectel, deepening its footprint in India through localized antenna production is a practical step toward enhancing supply chain resilience while simultaneously increasing flexibility, scalability, and responsiveness to the evolving needs of its customer base.

Dinesh Patkar, Regional Sales Director for India at Quectel Wireless Solutions, highlighted the strategic importance of the move. "Expanding our collaboration with Syrma SGS to include antenna manufacturing in India is a key step in strengthening our local IoT ecosystem," he said. "By localizing production, we can deliver faster lead times, improve supply chain stability and provide IoT solutions that are better aligned with local requirements, helping customers accelerate time to market."

Syrma SGS Technology Ltd has also spoken positively about the direction of the expanded partnership.

Sanjeev Kr Pandey, Vice President of Business Development at Syrma SGS Technology Ltd, pointed to the company's track record at its Manesar facility, where it has been manufacturing cellular, IoT, and GNSS modules for sectors including telecom, automotive, and Digital India initiatives. "As demand for locally manufactured connectivity solutions continues to grow, we are expanding our capabilities beyond modules to include antenna manufacturing, strengthening our ability to support demand in India alongside the Make in India initiative," Pandey said.

The combined strengths of Quectel's global expertise and Syrma SGS's established local manufacturing infrastructure create a compelling value proposition for IoT customers operating across India. Local production of antennas translates directly into shorter lead times and improved supply chain reliability, two factors that are critical for businesses managing tight project timelines and complex deployment schedules. Customers also stand to benefit from solutions that are specifically designed and validated to meet local regulatory standards and are better suited to the unique deployment environments found across the Indian market.

Beyond supply chain advantages, the partnership also brings improved access to technical support and closer day-to-day collaboration between customers and the manufacturing team. These operational benefits collectively help businesses move faster from concept to deployment, enabling broader IoT adoption and innovation across key industries such as automotive, agriculture, smart cities, and industrial automation.

Quectel is also set to participate in Electronica India, taking place at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida, Delhi. The company will use the event to showcase its comprehensive portfolio of IoT solutions, which includes cellular modules, short-range connectivity solutions, GNSS modules, automotive modules, and high-performance antennas. Industry professionals and potential customers are invited to visit the Quectel team at Booth H10.F03 in Hall 10 to explore how the company's modules, antennas, and certification services can support the next generation of connected applications across a wide range of sectors.
