The new plant will be completed by Beumer India by 2025, and it will be put into service by September of the same year.
The Indian division of Beumer, Beumer India, intends to invest Rs 200 crore in building a cutting-edge manufacturing facility here, creating 750 job opportunities for people.
According to a statement from Reliance, the MET City family now includes over 570 businesses from ten different countries, with the addition of Beumer India.
In addition to enhancing its worldwide reach, Beumer India stated in a statement that "by supporting small businesses in and around MET City, they are on the path to contributing to the local economy."
The strategic focus and dedication of BEUMER Group towards sustained success in India are evident in this expansion. Rudolf Hausladen, CEO of Beumer Group, stated, "The new production site plays an important part in our global factory footprint, strengthening our position as a quality leader and partner of choice for our customers."
This is Beumer India's second facility in Haryana, according to the company. In Naurangpur, Haryana, Beumer already has a modern manufacturing facility.
Our recently established production facility at Reliance MET City provides a business-friendly environment and a collaborative approach to infrastructure and facilities with an eye towards sustainable development. According to Cluster Asia CEO of Beumer Group Nitin Vyas, "Setting up a manufacturing unit in the context is truly 'plug and play', with Reliance staying true to its goal of developing a 'Model Economic Township'."
Beumer India intends to commission this new facility by September 2025, having finished construction by that same year.
MET City is home to businesses from a variety of industries, including consumer items, footwear, FMCG, engineering, electronics, automotive components, medical devices, and defense. It has established itself as one of India's most integrated greenfield smart cities.

In addition to solidifying our commitment to delivering best-in-class infrastructure, Beumer India is an example of strong Indo-German cooperation and will position MET City as one of the largest integrated smart cities in the world that is available for business, according to SV Goyal, CEO & WTD of MET City.
He added, "MET City achieved a 60 percent year-on-year growth of 60 percent in the recently concluded financial year." MET City is a groundbreaking initiative that has already attracted over Rs 20,000 crore in investment from METL and its companies, which have employed 48,000 people.

MSC has announced the commencement of its new weekly service, Osprey, connecting Asia and Southeast India. According to an official statement from MSC, the Osprey service will provide a direct route and expedite transit times between the Asian and Southeast Indian markets, creating new opportunities for importers and exporters in the area and enhancing connectivity between these significant trade hubs. Osprey is an addition to MSC's current inter-Asia service, Shikra, which allows MSC to offer its clients more extensive coverage of the Asia-India network. According to the statement, the inaugural sailing, with ship MSC SOMYA voyage number SO430A, will leave from Shanghai on July 23, 2024.
The service would rotate between Shanghai, Ningbo, Singapore, Colombo, Ennore, Visakhapatnam, and Shanghai MSC. According to the statement, Ningbo will connect to Ennore in 15 days, Visakhapatnam in 17 days, and Kolkata (via Visakhapatnam) in 19 days.
