A strategic cooperation between Neste and Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) will concentrate on creating value chains for renewable chemicals and polymers for and with Japanese companies. The partners are focusing on brands in the consumer electronics, fashion, and food and beverage industries.
Neste and MC hope to expedite their efforts to create DE- fossilized supply chains for Japanese brand owners through this partnership.

Throughout the collaboration, Neste will contribute its knowledge of sustainability and the development of more sustainable materials, including renewable Neste RE, a bio-based raw material used in the manufacturing of plastics. MC will offer its extensive background in supply chain management and business development for petrochemical products and derivatives in the area. When it comes to helping Japanese brands cut down on their usage of fossil fuels and greenhouse gas emissions in their supply chains, the partners will provide all-inclusive solutions.

Neste and MC have previously worked together on several distinguish projects, such as a multi-party partnership to produce clothing from bio-based materials for Goldwin Inc. and a partnership with other partners to enable the production of renewable PET bottles for Suntory Holdings Limited.

According to Carrie Song, Senior Vice President, Commercial at Neste Renewable Products, "through this partnership, we will be able to provide sustainability-minded companies in Japan with a full package to reduce their plastics-related GHG emissions." "When we work together, we can supply the resources and expertise. By working together, we can also introduce the materials into value chains, facilitating the transition of businesses to more environmentally friendly practices."

"Our strength is in our ability to build supply chains and reach a broad range of brand owners in Japan," says Yoshiyuki Watanabe, Division COO, Mitsubishi Corporation's Business Development Division. Over a long period, we have developed this strength through conventional trade and calculated investments made in conjunction with reliable partners. We are excited to improve our partnership with Neste because we know that none of these accomplishments would be possible without them. To address the demands of society, we are excited to grow our network to include partners who hold similar principles and produce benefits for the economy, society, and environment."
