New Delhi: India is rapidly positioning itself as a global smartphone manufacturing hub, with exports touching USD 30 billion during the calendar year 2025 (January to December), according to Union Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. In a post on X, the minister said, “India is becoming the smartphone manufacturing factory for the world,” while sharing official export figures. He noted that smartphone exports for the calendar year 2025 reached USD 30 billion, underscoring the country’s growing role in the global electronics supply chain. Last month, Vaishnaw highlighted that India recorded electronics exports worth USD 47 billion (Rs 4.15 lakh crore) in 2025, marking a significant milestone for the sector.
