India has the potential to lead globally in supply chain management and skill development. The International Procurement and Supply Chain Conference 2025, marked a defining moment for India’s logistics and procurement landscape. Now in its second India edition, IPSC brought together global leaders, industry veterans and policymakers to address the evolving dynamics of procurement, logistics and supply chain management. The event is a collaborative, non-profit initiative between the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India and Blue Ocean Corporation, aiming to foster innovation, strategic collaboration and thought leadership in the sector.
Adding gravitas and star power to the summit was former Indian cricket captain and Blue Ocean Corporation board member, Sourav Ganguly, who highlighted the similarities between top-tier sports and corporate leadership. “Whether on the field or in the boardroom, success lies in foresight, resilience and teamwork. India has the potential to lead globally in this domain and the journey begins with empowering our youth,” Ganguly said in his keynote address.
The day-long summit featured a range of expert panels and keynote sessions covering themes such as AI-driven procurement, green logistics, supply chain education, and integrated global operations. Leaders and stakeholders from across sectors came together to explore solutions to some of the most pressing challenges and opportunities within the supply chain ecosystem.
John Ellis, Group COO of Blue Ocean Corporation, emphasized the importance of international collaboration. “The UK provides strategy, India delivers impact. Everywhere here I see leaders, innovators, reformers those who don’t wait for change but become part of the change,” he said, underscoring the powerful synergy between the two countries.
Vinod Pandey, Chairperson of ASSOCHAM’s Manufacturing & Capital Goods Council and Director Government and External Affairs at BMW Group India, described the transformation underway in the sector. “India’s logistics and supply chain sector is undergoing a seismic shift from fragmented to integrated, from cost-driven to value-driven. To truly accelerate growth, procurement must become strategic, sustainable, and tech-enabled, empowering India to compete confidently on the global stage.”
