The upcoming second China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), set for November 26–30 at the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Venue) in Beijing, is drawing global attention from exhibitors across the world. CISCE is unique in that it is the only international event solely dedicated to the intricacies of supply chains, covering the entire journey of materials and goods from production to final sale.

Organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), this year's expo will concentrate on six critical supply chains: advanced manufacturing, clean energy, smart vehicles, digital technology, healthy living, and green agriculture, along with supply chain services. The event will also feature specialized forums, side events, investment promotion sessions, supply-demand matchmaking opportunities, and new product launches.

Significantly, just before the first CISCE last year, the U.S. government held a meeting focused on supply chain resilience and introduced an early warning system aimed at identifying potential supply chain disruptions. While the U.S. portrayed this initiative as essential for economic stability and national security, many international observers saw it as a continuation of America’s protectionist policies, fostering economic "decoupling."

Analysts highlight the CISCE’s practical importance, especially in the context of globalization’s impact on industrial and supply chains. China’s dedication to sustaining global industrial networks has resonated with businesses worldwide.

Through initiatives like the Belt and Road Initiative, China continues to provide platforms for international exchange, sharing developmental benefits with other nations. Moreover, China has taken concrete steps to stabilize global industrial and supply chains, reflecting its commitment to a collaborative global economy.

Almost half of the exhibitors at CISCE are from Belt and Road countries, showcasing their industrial and supply chain capabilities while fostering opportunities for global cooperation.

Additionally, China has facilitated participation from some less-developed countries. According to organizers, many exhibitors have already secured their booths.

CISCE is part of China's broader commitment to creating a future of shared prosperity for all nations, a promise China has reiterated on various occasions. At the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing last year, China reinforced its commitment to "advance the modernization of all countries, build an open, inclusive and interconnected world for common development, and jointly build a community with a shared future for mankind."
