Tata Power and NDDB Join Forces to Solarize India's Milk Value Chain

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed by TP Renewable Microgrid (TPRMG), the nation's top solar microgrid provider and a fully owned subsidiary of Tata Power, and the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), which is well-known for having revolutionized India's rural economy through its cooperative dairy model. The purpose of this partnership is to support several projects aimed at developing renewable energy solutions along the dairy supply chain. In the presence of Praveer Sinha, CEO and MD of Tata Power, and Varsha Joshi, Additional Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of India, Meenesh Shah, Chairman and Managing Director of NDDB, and Manoj Gupta, CEO of TP Renewable Microgrid, signed the Memorandum of Understanding. Improvement of the milk value chain's sustainability and efficiency A number of important projects aimed at improving operational effectiveness and sustainability in the milk value chain are at the heart of this partnership. Innovative solar microgrid technology has made it possible to solarize Dairy Cooperative Societies (DCSs), Bulk Milk Coolers (BMCs), and Milk Chilling Centers. "This collaboration is a significant step towards achieving our vision of a sustainable and efficient milk value chain," said Meenesh Shah, Chairman & MD, NDDB.
