A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed by TP Renewable Microgrid (TPRMG), the nation's top solar microgrid provider and a fully owned subsidiary of Tata Power, and the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), which is well-known for having revolutionized India's rural economy through its cooperative dairy model.
The purpose of this partnership is to support several projects aimed at developing renewable energy solutions along the dairy supply chain.
In the presence of Praveer Sinha, CEO and MD of Tata Power, and Varsha Joshi, Additional Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of India, Meenesh Shah, Chairman and Managing Director of NDDB, and Manoj Gupta, CEO of TP Renewable Microgrid, signed the Memorandum of Understanding.
Improvement of the milk value chain's sustainability and efficiency
A number of important projects aimed at improving operational effectiveness and sustainability in the milk value chain are at the heart of this partnership.
Innovative solar microgrid technology has made it possible to solarize Dairy Cooperative Societies (DCSs), Bulk Milk Coolers (BMCs), and Milk Chilling Centers.
"This collaboration is a significant step towards achieving our vision of a sustainable and efficient milk value chain," said Meenesh Shah, Chairman & MD, NDDB. Our goal is to increase the operational efficiency of the dairy value chain and encourage the use of green fuels by incorporating renewable energy solutions. Our alliance with TPRMG will enable us to achieve our objective of building an environmentally friendly and sustainably operated dairy industry.
Mujkuva Village in Gujarat to Become a Carbon Neutral Village
The partnership's ambitious goal, which involves NDDB and TP Renewable Microgrid working together to turn Mujkuva hamlet in Gujarat's Anand district into a Carbon Neutral hamlet, is a major feature.
This initiative seeks to advance rural economies' sustainability and the dairy industry's transition to a more environmentally friendly future.
Sustainability and green energy solutions
"Our partnership with the National Dairy Development Board will revolutionize the dairy sector by integrating advanced renewable energy technologies, significantly reducing carbon emissions, and enhancing operational efficiency," stated Praveer Sinha, CEO and MD of Tata Power. This strategic partnership demonstrates our dedication to leading the way in environmentally friendly energy solutions that promote sustainable growth and establish new standards for the sector.
TPRMG and NDDB's strategic alliance is well-positioned to set a standard in the dairy sector by incorporating renewable energy sources and encouraging sustainability throughout the whole milk supply chain.
The partnership stimulates the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, resulting in notable environmental advantages, lowering energy expenses, and promoting sustainable practices. These factors support India's embrace of renewable energy and the development of its rural areas.
