Narendra Modi inaugurated the first phase of the Noida International Airport along with its cargo terminal, marking a significant boost to India’s aviation and logistics ecosystem. On the same occasion, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for a 40-acre Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility, positioning the airport as a strategic gateway for trade, connectivity, and economic growth in North India. According to a statement from the Government of Uttar Pradesh, the airport is expected to unlock development opportunities across western Uttar Pradesh, including regions such as Agra, Mathura, Aligarh, Meerut, Ghaziabad, and Bulandshahr. The project is also expected to benefit farmers, MSMEs, and the local workforce.
