Lufthansa Cargo invites to the Supply Chain Day

On April 10, Lufthansa Cargo will celebrate Supply Chain Day by offering an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at its air freight operations at Frankfurt Airport. Visitors will experience first-hand how one of the world’s leading cargo airlines is shaping the future of logistics under its mission: “Enabling Global Business.”

This year’s highlights include:

Frankfurt Hub Expansion

Lufthansa Cargo is transforming its 330,000 m² Frankfurt Cargo Center into Europe’s most advanced air freight hub by 2030. With an investment of €600 million, the project will focus on digital innovation, sustainability, and enhanced efficiency, targeting a weekly handling capacity of 20,000 tons.
Pharmaceutical Logistics
Guests will also tour the Pharma Hub Frankfurt, a state-of-the-art facility for temperature-sensitive cargo. With three controlled temperature zones across 8,300 m², and more than 30 CEIV Pharma certifications, Lufthansa Cargo operates one of the world’s most reliable pharma logistics networks.

Women in Logistics

In line with IATA's 25by2025 initiative, Lufthansa Cargo has surpassed its diversity goal, achieving over 30% women in leadership roles. At the event, female leaders will share their journeys and insights, highlighting the growing impact of women in global logistics.

Since its inception in 2008 by BVL, Supply Chain Day has given the public a rare chance to “Experience Logistics Live.” Lufthansa Cargo remains a committed participant, showcasing the complexity, innovation, and opportunities within the logistics industry.
