India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the development of a state-of-the-art multi-modal logistics park in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The logistics park will serve as a critical node in India’s transportation and supply chain network, facilitating the seamless movement of goods between road, rail, and waterways.
This project is part of the government’s broader efforts to modernize India’s logistics infrastructure and make it more efficient. By creating a multi-modal logistics hub in Varanasi, the initiative will support enhanced trade connectivity, reduce transportation costs, and streamline operations. The park will cater to industries such as e-commerce, manufacturing, and agriculture, helping to boost exports and promote economic growth in the region.
The project aligns with the government’s vision of improving India’s logistics performance under the National Logistics Policy, which aims to reduce logistics costs and increase the efficiency of goods movement across the country.
