NEW DELHI : In a significant move to bridge the gap between industry practice and academic learning, Hexalog Technologies Private Limited has formalized a strategic partnership with the Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) through a Memorandum of Understanding. The collaboration establishes a dedicated Centre of Excellence focusing on Supply Chain and Logistics at BIMTECH's campus, one of India's premier AACSB-accredited business institutions.

The newly established Centre will roll out industry-relevant micro-credentials and specialized certificate programs covering cutting-edge domains including artificial intelligence applications in logistics, supply chain analytics, and digital freight management systems. The formal signing took place with Prof. Pankaj Priya, who serves as Deputy Director and Dean of Academics, and Dr. Danish Nasir, Associate Professor of Practice specializing in Operations and Decision Sciences at BIMTECH, alongside representatives from Hexalog Technologies.

This partnership promises to transform the learning experience for students by providing genuine industry exposure through multiple channels. Students will gain access to on-the-job training opportunities, internship placements, live consulting projects with actual clients, and the chance to present their innovative ideas directly to real-world investors. Beyond conventional learning, the collaboration emphasizes entrepreneurial development through carefully structured bootcamps led by seasoned industry practitioners, fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among participants.

The relationship between the two institutions extends to a comprehensive range of collaborative activities designed to strengthen the connection between academic theory and industry reality. Both organizations will jointly organize supply chain festivals, conduct research initiatives, host hackathons, develop case studies based on real scenarios, and design executive education programs tailored to industry needs.

Reflecting on the personal significance of this partnership, Mr. Dibyanshu Tripathi, CEO and Co-founder of Hexalog Technologies, shared his perspective on returning to his alma mater. "Returning to BIMTECH to sign this MoU carries a certain weight—this is where the thinking began, and it feels right to bring something back. What Hexalog is formalizing today isn't a symbolic gesture; it's a working partnership. Students will get direct access to live databases and the kind of supply chain complexity that doesn't exist in textbooks—real constraints, real trade-offs, and real stakes."

Tripathi emphasized the practical nature of the initiative, stating, "The next wave of logistics leaders won't be built in classrooms alone. They'll be shaped by exposure to problems that are still unsolved, by organizations willing to share not just their successes but their open questions. That's what we're putting on the table. For me personally, there's something clarifying about coming back—not as a student, but as someone who can help accelerate what comes next for the people sitting where I once sat."

Dr. Prabina Rajib, Director of BIMTECH, highlighted the strategic importance of this collaboration in the context of evolving global supply chains. "As global supply chains become increasingly digital, data-driven, and interconnected, it is imperative for academic institutions to move beyond traditional pedagogy. This collaboration with Hexalog Technologies marks an important milestone in BIMTECH's ongoing efforts to strengthen industry-academia partnerships. The establishment of the Centre of Excellence in Supply Chain and Logistics will provide our students and faculty with meaningful opportunities to engage with industry experts, work on real-world challenges, and develop capabilities aligned with the evolving demands of the global supply chain ecosystem."

The operational framework of the Centre includes a structured program designed to identify and nurture talent. BIMTECH will shortlist twelve student teams, from which Hexalog will select the top five based on criteria including innovation potential, scalability, and market relevance. Each team that makes the final cut will receive "Hexalog Credits" valued at INR, specifically allocated to support logistics and supply chain operations. This financial support ensures that students gain practical, hands-on learning experiences while preparing their ventures for real-world application.

The signing ceremony brought together senior leadership from both organizations, marking the commencement of what both parties envision as a long-term strategic engagement. The initiative aims to build advanced capabilities in supply chain and logistics management while creating a sustainable model for industry-academia collaboration.

BIMTECH, founded with the vision of Late Basant Kumar Birla and Sarala Birla, has established itself as a leading institution offering diverse management programs. The institute provides Post Graduate Diploma in Management programs in various specializations including International Business, Insurance Business Management, and Retail Management, along with PGDM-Online and Fellow programs such as FPM and E-FPM. These programs are designed to transform individuals into global leaders capable of navigating complex business environments. BIMTECH holds its position among the first league of globally recognized business schools that excel in management education, supported by a robust alumni network of over 8,000 professionals placed across the globe.
